Coinciding with a new anniversary of the restart in 1895 of the struggles for the independence of Cuba, and on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution, the Greek edition was presented in Athens, on the night of last Saturday, February 24 from the book “Aldabonazo. In the Cuban Revolutionary Underground, 1952-58”, written by Armando Hart Dávalos, one of the historical leaders of the Cuban Revolution and himself the protagonist of many of those events.
The presentation of the book, published by the Diethnes Vima publishing house, took place at the Enastron Bibliocafe, in the presence of a select audience. Nikos Karandreas, president of the Helleno-Cuban Association of Friendship and Solidarity with Cuba and Natasa Terlexi, member of the editorial team, commented on the content of the work. The Ambassador of Cuba Aramís Fuente Hernández also spoke.
The speakers highlighted the extremely important work of its author and the high value of this work, which contains elements of transcendental importance about that decisive period of the Cuban Revolution, until its triumph on January 1, 1959, under the leadership of Commander in Chief Fidel. Castro, overthrowing the bloody dictatorship that oppressed the Cuban people.
