GROUP OF AMBASSADORS MAKE AN OFFICIAL VISIT TO KALAMATA, IN THE SOUTH OF GREECE

A group of Latin American, European and African ambassadors visited the city of Kalamata, the second most populated city on the Peloponnese peninsula.
The tour began with an interesting meeting to learn about the Olive Tree Routes, and the production of its oil. Afterwards we were received by Mr. Athanasios P. Vasilopoulos, mayor of the city with whom the ambassadors had a cordial dialogue in which the interest in promoting ties with that beautiful city in the south of Greece was valued.
A meeting was also held with Mr. Evangelos Xigoros, president of the Messenia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in which the various possibilities to strengthen links between companies and producers from that region and similar ones from the countries represented there were discussed. . Also of great attraction and interest was the visit to the Victoria Karelias Collection Museum of Traditional Greek Costumes.
They were useful and instructive meetings, which contributed to greater knowledge of the region and the identification of new possibilities to strengthen exchanges and bilateral relations.
