Guyana pays tribute on the 47th anniversary of the Barbados crime

Guyana, Georgetown, October 6, 2023. The government of Guyana, together with representatives of the accredited diplomatic corps, paid tribute in a solemn ceremony on the occasion of the 47th anniversary of the terrorist attack perpetrated against a Cubana de Aviación aircraft.

The event was chaired by Hugh Hilton Todd, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, who expressed his gratitude to those present and recalled the text of the Final Declaration of the Eighth CARICOM-CUBA Summit through which declares October 6 as CARICOM-Cuba Anti-Terrorism Day in honor of the 73 people who lost their lives.
