The head of the diplomatic mission met with the Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff, Elizabeth Exposto

Dili, September 15, 2026. At the Government Palace in Timor-Leste, Cuban diplomat Alina Aldama was received by senior Timorese government official Elizabeth Exposto, who serves as Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister and Executive Director of the Timor-Leste Land and Maritime Borders Office (GFTM).

During the meeting, the ambassador had the opportunity to provide details about the unjust and criminal blockade imposed by the U.S. government on the Cuban people, as well as the consequences of the energy crisis that has affected all Cuban households throughout 2026.

Also present at the meeting were Inês Gonçalves and Antonito Amaral.
