Copenhagen, June 16, 2023. The "Dano-Cubana" Friendship Association, with the Embassy of Cuba, in the Kingdom of Denmark, paid a heartfelt tribute to the Bronze Titan, and the heroic Guerrilla Fighter, on the occasion of their birth.
On June 14, the 178th anniversary of the birth of Antonio Maceo, and the 95th of Ernesto Che Guevara, the realization of a cultural political act brought together the Solidarity Movement with Cuba, integrated by the political parties, trade unions, the civil organizations of Patria Grande, and the Salvador Allende Association, and in which representatives of the CRE participated.
In his words during the act, the Ambassador of Cuba, Roger López García, made an assessment of the brotherhood in time, between these two men, identified by the same ideals in our struggles for independence, and against all forms of colonialism; as well as the inspiration of the political and revolutionary thought of both patriots, for the generations of Cubans.
The Cuban diplomat, referring to the clear warning that they left us in the face of the danger of the ambition of the United States, against Cuba and all of Latin America, highlighted the battle of our people for more than six decades of cruel economic, commercial, and financial blockade, and condemned the unfair inclusion of Cuba on the list of State sponsors of terrorism.
For the Friendship Association, Thiel Jacobsen, recounted the career of Commander Ernesto Che Guevara, his philosophical conception of humanity, internationalism, altruism, commitment to just causes and the defence of the rights of peoples in Latin America and the world.
The artistic Gala began with the song "Hasta Siempre Comandante", by Carlos Puebla, with a choir headed by the President of the Friendship Association, Sussane Wind, and the President of the Communist Party in Denmark, Rikke Carlsson, along with others, included the children present.
