The Ambassador of Cuba in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Vilma Reyes Valdespino, held a lively exchange with the radio announcer and journalist, Ernesto Cooke, founder and Editor of the digital newspaper "News 784".
The parties talked about the Vincentian media space, as well as the origins, the path it has taken and the high number of readers achieved by the young digital edition, both inside and outside the country.
In response to the interest of the Vincentian Publisher, whose publication regularly addresses issues related to Cuba, the Ambassador offered a summary of the history and stages of the war for the independence of the largest Island of the Greater Antilles, which put into context the heroic struggle of the Cuban people against the blockade imposed by the US and for the return of the territory, illegally occupied by the Guantánamo Naval Base.
The experienced journalist pointed out that the struggle of the different generations of Cubans for their sovereignty, freedom, and territorial integrity, and the determination of an entire people to continue to develop and help others, even under those circumstances, have forged the nature and character of the Cuban nation.
