Historical and permanent support of the Namibian government to the Cuban people

The Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of Namibia, Mr. Peya Mushelenga, received from Sergio Vigoa de la Uz, Cuban ambassador here, a letter from his counterpart Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, regarding the sessions of the United Nations General Assembly that in the coming days he will once again discuss the Resolution "Need to end the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba."

At the meeting, the head of the Cuban mission thanked the minister for the support of the Namibian government to the struggle of the Cuban people in favor of the elimination of the United States blockade and the exclusion of Cuba from the list of States sponsoring terrorism.

The voice of this brother country has been a bulwark for the Island on the 32 consecutive occasions that the Resolution has been presented in the ON, as well as in international and regional events where Cuba has defended its independence and sovereignty.

The Namibian minister expressed his government's willingness to continue supporting the Greater Antilles in its noble cause and thanked it for its extraordinary role in achieving the independence of this African nation and in its subsequent development.
