Hon. Minister Stephenson King bids farewell to the Cuban engineer.

An emotional activity was held at the Ministry of Infrastructure, Port, Energy and Labor of Saint Lucia to bid farewell to the Cuban engineer Raul Tamayo, who concludes his mission in this country. The meeting was attended by the Honorable Minister Stephenson King, the Permanent Secretary Ivor Daniel and other directors and workers of the Ministry. In his speech, the Minister recognized the very good work carried out by the Cuban specialist and praised the excellent cooperative relations with Cuba, which have a long history and have allowed the Ministry's work to be reinforced in different branches that are fundamental for the country. He expressed that Cuba has always been willing to help and has been a friendly and trustworthy country that they deeply thank. An example of the collaborative relations and of the different Cuban specialists who have served in the Ministry has been the engineer Raul Tamayo, whose work was recognized with a plaque of thanks that the Minister gave him. For his part, the Permanent Secretary Ivor Daniel reiterated the words of gratitude to Cuba and to the engineer Tamayo, and reaffirmed that Cubans and Saint Lucians are brother nations. Several directors of the Ministry also intervened to recognize the efficient cooperation with Cuba and the work of its specialist. On the Cuban side, Ambassador Alejandro Simancas was also present, who reiterated the will to continue advancing both countries on the path of friendship and solidarity.
