Honorable Jessica Alupo received the Ambassador of Cuba, Juan Humberto Macías Pino.

Kampala, December 19th 2025. During the cordial meeting, they reviewed the historical ties between the two countries and the strengthening of cooperation programs, as well as the successful outcome of the most recent exchanges between representatives of both governments. 

The diplomat reiterated his gratitude for Uganda's unconditional support for the United Nations General Assembly Resolution condemning the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba, highlighting the recent statement against this policy by Ugandan Vice President Jessica Alupo.
