We have known that on August 23 will be held the Funeral of Dr. Winston Thomas, a dear friend of Cuba; We join their family and friends in this moment of pain and wish to transfer our deepest condolences.
Dr. Thomas, is a graduate of our country, and from his return to Grenada was joined the Solidarity Movement, and was an active member in strengthening the brotherhood ties that unite our peoples. In unconditional support to Cuba, he permanently condemned the US blockade policy on our country.
We have always had the support of Dr. Thomas, we are proud of his professionalism, his sense of humanity and his solidarity; He has left us physically, but his spirit will remain with us.
On behalf of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, I reiterate our deepest condolences to his family and friends.
