Indonesia, 31 October 2016. Today morning the Embassy of Cuba was visited by two young Indonesians who will participate in the XXX edition of the Marathon of Havana "Marabana 2016", to be held on November 20 in the Cuban capital.
Both girls, who despite not being professional athletes, have experience several Indonesian and foreign circuits, will travel by the first time to Cuba to participate in the half marathon event equivalent to 21 Km 975 meters which will start and finish in front of the Havana Capitol. The girls expressed their satisfaction and high expectations by taking part in this event and learning about the Cuban sports movement through what is already one of the most important athletic competitions in the sports calendar of our country.
This new edition of the Marathon of Havana, for which have already confirmed their participation over 1 500 foreign athletes from more than 50 countries and about 2 900 national, greet the National Day of Physical Culture and Sports and the Anniversaries 497 of the Foundation of the Villa of San Cristobal de la Habana and 34 of the Declaration of Old Havana as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
