SRI LANKA, March 9, 2020. - Invited by the women's organization “Progressive Women Collective”, the Ambassador of Cuba, Juana Elena Ramos Rodríguez, attended the event organized by them in the occasion of the International Women's Day.
The Ambassador, during her speech, highlighted the role of Cuban women in our society, which constitute, among other issues, 53.22% of the members of parliament.
Likewise, the Ambassador denounced the upsurge of the blockade imposed by the United States government against Cuba, as well as the defamatory campaigns against our country, particularly against the medical collaboration that Cuba offers.
It is unacceptable to question the altruism and professionalism of the more than 400,000 health workers who have completed their missions in 164 countries for 56 years.
