The newspaper Arbejderen in its edition of May Day published the interview to the Ambassador of Cuba in Denmark, Yiliam Gómez Sardiñas, about the increased presence of women in the new legislature of the National Assembly of People's Power. The ambassador explained that the Cuban Parliament is composed for the first time in its majority by women, that with 322 women among its 605 members, they represent more than 53 percent. The ambassador reiterated the commitment of Cuban women to the defense of the Revolution and its main achievements, as well as the process of updating the country's economic model. She also highlighted the role played by women since the struggle for the independence of the Island, while recalling the figure of Vilma Espin and her historical legacy. (Embacuba Dinamarca).
