Kuala Lumpur, February 6, 2026. The Embassy of Cuba thanks the Agency the Malaysian National News Agency, Bernama, for publishing this interview on the 51st Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and Cuba.
On this anniversary, we highlight the bonds of friendship between our two nations and the good state of our diplomatic relations, characterized by mutual respect, dialogue, and cooperation, and founded on the defense of international law, multilateralism, and peaceful coexistence.
This occasion was also a good opportunity to reiterate our gratitude for Malaysia´s traditional support for Cuba´s just demand to end the genocidal economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States for more than 60 years, and its determination to condemn the unjustifiable continued inclusion of Cuba on the spurious and unilateral list of state sponsors of terrorism.
