Izmir commemorated July 26, Cuba’s National Rebellion Day, with a moving act of solidarity that brought together friends of the Cuban Revolution.
The event featured remarks by Nahide Oskan, President of the Turkey-Cuba Friendship Association “José Martí,” and Raúl E. Madrigal, Consul General of Cuba in Istanbul.
During the gathering, participants expressed their appreciation for the firm and consistent support of the Turkish solidarity movement with Cuba, whose friendship represents a valuable expression of support for the Cuban people in defending their sovereignty and independence.
The event also denounced the escalation of sanctions imposed against Cuba, describing them as an ongoing crime against the Cuban people and a serious obstacle to the country’s development, in violation of international law.
