From Jamaica, call for an end to the genocidal policy of the blockade and the inclusion of Cuba in the unilateral list of State sponsors of terrorism.

Kingston, 26 May 2024. Convened by the Cuba Solidarity Movement and the "Antonio Maceo" Association of Cubans Residing in Jamaica, a parade against the blockade took place on the Kingston Waterfront as part of the Bridges of Love Campaign. Also in attendance were Angela Brown Burke MP, Shadow Minister of Foreign Affairs and President of the People's National Party (PNP); Morais Guy, member of the Jamaican Parliament for the PNP; representatives of political organisations and social movements and members of the State Mission.

During the interventions, the criminal impact of the US economic, commercial and financial blockade on the wellbeing of the Cuban population was denounced; recognising Cuba's vocation of solidarity with the peoples of the world and especially with Jamaica, despite the complex scenario facing the island. A call was made to friends of the island to unite in a universal demand for the removal of our nation from the spurious and unilateral list of countries that allegedly sponsor terrorism.

This event was an opportunity to ratify solidarity with the brotherly Palestinian people and to demand an end to the Israeli massacre on their territory.
