Kingston, 4 April 2023. Members of the Cuban state mission in Jamaica celebrated the 61st anniversary of the Union of Young Communists (UJC) and the 62nd anniversary of the José Martí Pioneers Organisation (OPJM).
The coordinator of the Medical Brigade Kattia Ochoa defined the role of the new generations as key to the development of our country. She also highlighted the young people's love for the Cuban nation and respect for our patriotic symbols and history.
In his words to those present, Cuban Ambassador to Jamaica Fermín Quiñones Sánchez valued as very positive the role of Cuban youth during the elections for deputies to the National Assembly of People's Power. He called on them to continue working, with young people at the forefront, in the construction of socialism, despite the limitations imposed by the US economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba.
As part of the activity, artistic talent and humour was provided by members of the Health Brigade, accompanied by Cuban music.
