Jamaica united in calling for an end to the blockade and the removal of Cuba from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism.

Port Maria, 29 September 2024. As part of the ‘Bridges of Love’ Day, Cuban residents, members of the Movement of Solidarity with Cuba and members of the state mission raised their voices from different stages of the Jamaican geography to demand the end of the genocidal policy of the blockade and the exclusion of our country from the spurious list of State Sponsors of Terrorism.

In the Port Royal region, Cuban residents and members of the Medical Brigade denounced the harmful effects of the blockade on the Cuban health system and ratified our country's commitment to continue supporting sister nations despite the difficulties.

On the other hand, in the Port Maria region, Cuban diplomats dialogued with members of the new generations of Cuban residents and Jamaicans on the implications of this genocidal policy for the development of education in Cuba.

In both locations, the permanent support of the Jamaican people and government in denouncing the island's continued inclusion on the unilateral list of states that allegedly sponsor terrorism was acknowledged.
