A Jamaican Delegation participates in the Anti-Imperialist Meeting of Solidarity for Democracy, and Against Neoliberalism

A large delegation made up by representatives from the most diverse sectors of the Jamaican society, including politicians, parliamentarians, academics, leaders of social and intellectual movements, traveled to Havana, Cuba, to participate in the Anti-Imperialist Meeting of Solidarity for Democracy, and against Neoliberalism to be held in this capital from 1st to 3rd November.

Kingston, Jamaica, 30 October 2019. A large delegation made up by representatives from the most diverse sectors of the Jamaican society, including politicians, parliamentarians, academics, leaders of social and intellectual movements, traveled to Havana, Cuba, to participate in the Anti-Imperialist Meeting of Solidarity for Democracy, and against Neoliberalism to be held in this capital from 1st to 3rd November.

The delegation showed its support for Cuba and reiterated its denunciation of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the US government on the Greatest Island in the Antilles for almost six decades.

The Meeting aims to unite progressive forces in defence of peace and against neoliberal policies. More than a thousand representatives from social movements and parties, political figures, and personalities of the intellectual and academic world will discuss the new challenges of the left in the face of the growing hostility of Imperialism.
