Jamaican entities attended Cuba 2020 Business Forum

Seven Jamaican entities attended the Cuba 2020 Business Forum, which took place virtually on December 8th and 9th.

Kingston, Jamaica, 11 December 2020. Seven Jamaican entities attended the Cuba 2020 Business Forum, which took place virtually on December 8th and 9th.

A.A. Laquis Jamaica, CNOC Builders, Hardware and Lumber, Home Choice Enterprise and Macs Pharmaceuticals, along with the Jamaican Ministry of Industry, Investment and Commerce and the Embassy of that country in Cuba, signed up for the event, which aimed to promote business, foreign investment and the export of goods and services. This participation is a sign of the interest the Jamaican business community pays to strengthening the economic relations with Cuba, and carries on with Jamaica's traditional participation in the International Fair of Havana (FIHAV).

Within the framework of the the Cuba 2020 Business Forum, the Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment of Cuba presented the new Portfolio of Opportunities for Foreign Investment, which includes 503 projects, of which 119 are related to the oil industry and 131 to the touristic sector.
