Kingston, Jamaica, 15 January 2021.- The Honourable Christopher Tufton, Minister of Health and Wellness of Jamaica, reiterated his recognition of and gratitude for the Cuban medical cooperation that brings health care to the Caribbean nation.
He did so during a virtual meeting with the Cuban ambassador, H.E Mrs. Inés Fors Fernández. The Cuban diplomat also referred to the impact of the work developed by Cuban professionals in the Jamaican public health system, amidst a complex international epidemiological situation derived from COVID 19.
The parties discussed the possibility of diversifying cooperation in the sector, within the framework of the excellent bonds that have historically united the two neighbouring nations.
