Kingston, Jamaica, 12 May 2019. More than fifty Jamaicans, Latin Americans and Africans graduated in Cuba, representing the more than one thousand who reside in Jamaica, expressed their solidarity with the Largest Island of the Antilles last Saturday, in an evening of fraternization convened by the Association of Jamaican Graduates from Cuban Universities, residing in this sister nation.

Those present -among whom there were graduates of Medicine, Dental Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Agronomy, Physical Culture, Linguistics, Telecommunications, Economics and Accounting- agreed to express their gratitude for the opportunity to pursue higher education in Cuba and their unconditional support for the Cuban people, especially in its struggle to put an end to the unjust economic, commercial and financial US blockade and the repeal of the extraterritorial Helms-Burton Act.

The expressions of support from the Association of Jamaican Graduates from Cuban Universities are very much welcomed at a time when the US government intensifies its hostility and aggression against Cuba.
