Vientiane, October 2023. The main one was at the Laos Cuba Friendship School in Dongbang, where we presented the prizes of the Students of the School and also of the National University of Cuba.
There is no better opportunity than to celebrate the 170th Anniversary of the birth of the National Hero on the Day of Cuban Culture, with the students of the Amistad Laos - Cuba High School and Pre-University in the town of Dongban, Xaythany district and the Lao National University (UNL). After a detailed and meticulous work, the day of celebration culminated where the best works in poetry, prose and drawing of the university students, as well as the students of the School who came and demonstrated a deep knowledge of the life and work of our friend Martí, were awarded.
The active participation of the students, who enlivened with traditional dances and songs, gave the cultural evening a particular color that strengthened the relations of friendship and affection for Cuba, its Revolution and its history.
The Cuban Ambassador, Enna Viant Valdés, recalled the imprint and validity of Martí's thought in Cuban Culture more than a century after its fall in the redemptive hand.
Finally, the accompaniment of the vice president and the vice-dean of the Lao National University, Mr. Sinthavone Dalavong and Mr. Mixay Soukchaleurn respectively, professors and students of Spanish of the UNL, the director of the Cuba-Laos Friendship School, Bounsou Inthalangsy, professors of both study centers and more than 200 students of both centers, officials of the Party, directors of the Laos-Cuba Friendship Association, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cuban collaborators who provide their services in sister Lao PDR.
It was a worthy tribute, at the height of Martí and Cuban Culture.
