The Cuban Embassy in Turkey and the Cuba-Turkey Solidarity Association "José Martí" held a political-cultural activity at the Nazim Hikmet Cultural Center in Ankara to commemorate the 69th anniversary of the assaults on the Moncada Barracks in Santiago de Cuba and the Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Barracks in Bayamo. Yasin Calis, member of the board of directors of the Cuba-Turkey Friendship Association "José Martí", Ozan Yilmaz, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Turkey, and Dr. Alejandro F. Díaz Palacios, Cuban Ambassador to Turkey, spoke at the event.
To conclude, a documentary on July 26th was shown, subtitled in Turkish language, with speeches by journalist Marta Rojas, fighter Haydee Santamaría, and Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.
