Kenya National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula hosted Inés Fors Fernández, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, for talks focused on bilateral relations, regional developments and cooperation between Kenya and Cuba.
The Cuban envoy briefed the Speaker on the prevailing situation in Cuba and ongoing developments in the Caribbean nation.
During the discussions, the National Assembly Speaker underscored the importance of respecting the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of all nations, while advocating for the peaceful resolution of disputes hrough dialogue and diplomacy.
Ambassador Fernández also conveyed a special message of goodwill from the Speaker of the Cuban Parliament, reaffirming the long-standing friendship and cooperation between our two countries.
Honourable Moses Wetang'ula assured the Cuban diplomat Kenya´s commitment to establishing a Kenya-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Group to foster closer cooperation and further strengthen the bilateral relationship between Kenya and Cuba.
