Vientiane, April 7, 2025. The State funeral of Comrade Khamtay Siphandone in Laos concluded with a solemn and traditional ceremony led by the Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
The Lao people gathered at That Luang Square in the heart of Vientiane on April 7 to pay their final respects and farewell to General Khamtay Siphandone, former Chairman of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, former President of the State, and former Prime Minister of the Lao PDR, in a heartfelt ceremony held in his honor.
Along with senior Lao leaders, family, and friends, the Cuban Embassy and its Diplomatic Corps accredited to this capital also participated.
