Vientiane, June, 2024. The Embassy of Cuba in Lao PDR said goodbye to the new students from this Southeast Asian country who were studying on the island in the current period 2024-2025.
Ambassador Enna Viant Valdés presented them with the established documentation and shared experiences, enriched by the fruitful exchanges held by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education and Sports, graduates in Cuba, Cuban collaborators and family members, among others present.
The Cuban diplomat highlighted the importance of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Laos and Cuba, as well as the traditional ties of friendship, solidarity and cooperation that exist, while wishing them a happy trip and conveying the confidence of seeing them return trained as good professionals, ready to render an important service to the Homeland and their families.
The scholarships given are the result of the existing traditional cooperation agreements in the educational sphere between both countries.
