The Cuban Ambassador to the DPR Laos, Excma. Enna Viant Valdes, pay a courtesy call to this important figure, on which occasion he presented her a book dedicated to with warm and affectionate words.
The book written by Dr. Paul Brey, general director of the Pasteur Institute of Laos, collects valuable testimonies of the presence and contribution of Cuban doctors in that place.
The Head of the Cuban diplomatic mission felt honored to have Dr. Dalaloy, a man steeped in History, who in turn served as Ambassador of the Lao PDR in Havana between 1987-1991.
In a friendly meeting, he remembered with joy and firmness important moments of the Cuban doctors in Viengsay, northern province of Huaphanh in Laos, in an area known not only for its spectacular beauty, but also because it was the cradle of the Revolution for independence and a refuge during the US bombings between 1964-1973.
The Cuban Ambassador highlighted the cooperation of Cuba and the honorable and dignified page that she has exhibited during all the years of the Cuban Revolution. In the same way, she stated that while the island has offered its modest contribution and shared what it has, it has also received valuable help, for which reason she stressed the meaning of the phrase "Love is paid with love."
