Vientiane February, 2024. The president of the Lao Women's Union, Cra. Aly Vongnobountham, received the courtesy visit of the Ambassador of Cuba, Enna Viant Valdés, who conveyed the message of congratulations and greetings of the Secretary General of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC), Teresa Amarelle Boue, on the occasion of her recent appointment as head of the women's organization.
The Cuban diplomat reported on the preparations for the XI Congress of the FMC, which will take place on March 7 and 8, the results of which will be reported later. At the same time, the priorities in the work were addressed, as well as new actions that would strengthen the exchange and strengthening of the respective organizations at the national and international levels.
Both sides wished each other success in carrying out their respective missions and appreciated the importance of maintainng the solidarity and friendly ties of cooperation between the two organizations and celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
