The Honourable Mia Mottley, Leader of the Barbados Labour Party (BLP), received in his Parliament seat of the Cuban ambassador, Francisco Fernández Peña, accompanied by fellow Member of Parliament for the BLP, Mr. Trevor Prescod, time that is welcomed the country to diplomatic and was also conducive to highlight the historical relations of friendship between the two countries and between the BLP and the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC). The fraternal meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on bilateral relations, during which the Ambassador reiterated the formal invitation for a delegation headed by Ms. BLP. Mottley make a working visit to Cuba, on behalf of the Head of International Relations PCC Central Committee, Jose Ramon Balaguer Cabrera. To thank and accept the invitation, the political leader announced his willingness to make it effective in April.
