The Ambassador Pedro Luis Despaigne González received at the Cuban embassy in Accra, a delegation from the Private Universities Students Association of Ghana (PUSAG), headed by its President, Mr. Alswel Annan.
The Ambassador in his welcome remarks highlighted PUSAG’s working relationship with the embassy, emphasizing in the participation of one delegation of that student organization in the representation of Ghana in the May First International Brigade, which completed a solidarity program in Cuba in 2018.
The Ambassador and visitors took advantage and discussed a group of topics of interest, highlighting among them the structure of the Cuban youth and student movement. The Cuban diplomat argued the response in favor of the conquests of the Revolution by young people, at a time characterized by the aggressiveness and strengthening of the blockade by the current US administration, and addressed the ways to deepen collaboration between young people of Ghana and Cuba.
The President of PUSAG was accompanied by the General Secretary, Mrs. Amoako Afoa, and Mr. Desmond Nii Amaa, Chief Operations Officer. The First Secretary of the Embassy, Julio César Sánchez, also participated in the meeting.
