The leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) held a farewell activity to the Ambassador of Cuba to Ghana, Pedro Luis Despaigne González.
The Cuban ambassador was recognized for having shown himself to be a faithful friend of Ghana and for having known how to channel relations, even at a time when there were changes in the country's political direction. From the hands of Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, NDC´s General Secretary, the Cuban diplomat received a letter of recognition.
Other members of the NDC National Executive who participated in the activity were: Mr. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo (National Chairman), Dr. Hanna Louisa Bisiw (National Women´s Organiser), Mr. Kobby Barlon (First Deputy National Organiser); so did Mr. Haruna Iddrisu (Minority Leader at the Parliament), Mr. Kofi Attor (Advisor to the Speaker of Parliament), Mr. Karl Mark Arhin (Deputy Director of International Relations), and Emmanuel Samba Zumakpeh.
The farewell activity took place in areas of the Tang Palace Hotel in Accra. The Cuban diplomat was accompanied by his wife. (Cubaminrex-Embacuba Ghana)
