Organized by the Caribbean Chapter of the Network for the Defense of Humanity, an International Discussion Panel was held in Barbados, which disseminated interesting reflections on the thinking and work of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, the Commander-in-Chief of the Cuban Revolution, which had wide repercussions in the local and regional media. A panel of prominent intellectuals and academics, members of the Network residing in several Caribbean islands, exchanged experiences and relevant historical facts about Fidel's humanitarian and internationalist legacy. Before a crowded audience that participated actively asking questions and contributing adding elements on the meaning of the Cuban Revolution, two delegates from Cuba, Dr. Marlén Sánchez and Idalmis Brooks, representing the University of Havana and the Department of International Relations of our Party; the President of the African Global Congress, Cikiah Thomas (Jamaica); Trade Union leader David Abdulah (Trinidad and Tobago); and Barbadians friends Robert "Bobby" Clarke, lawyer and social activist, David Denny, President of the Association of Friendship with Cuba, and David Comissiong, Coordinator of the Network Caribbean Chapter, highlighted several facets of whom they considered as the faithful friend of the Caribbean people, one of the liberators of the African people and the anti-imperialist leader of the ever-supportive Cuban people.
