Kuala Lumpur, October 8 - The Cuban ambassador to Malaysia, Ibete Fernández Hernández, visited the Royal College of Medicine in Perak in the company of the rector, Professor Dr Syed Rahim Syed Hamid and other authorities of the center.
During the meeting, the rector acknowledged the results of Cuba in the field of health and research and expressed interest in developing joint projects in tropical diseases and training of human resources.
Dr Syed extended an invitation to scientists from the Institute of Tropical Medicine "Pedro Kouri" to participate in the fourth international conference on tropical medicine and infectious diseases.
The Royal College of Medicine of Perak is the medical school of the University of Kuala Lumpur where currently 500 Malaysian students are trained.
