Malaysia reiterates opposition to unilateral sanctions

Kuala Lumpur, October 10 – The ambassador of Cuba to Malaysia, Ibete Fernández Hernández, held a meeting with the General Secretary of the Foreign Ministry, Dato Ramlan Ibrahim on 9 October.

During the meeting, the ambassador presented Cuba's report on the blockade and requested Malaysia's support for this resolution.

For his part, the Secretary-General highlighted the links between Cuba and Malaysia and the high level of coordination in multilateral forums and condemned the application of unilateral sanctions such as the blockade of Cuba, being a principle of Malaysian foreign policy.
