From Malaysia, solidarity with Cuba, Venezuela, and Latin America.

On February 3rd, a demonstration of solidarity with Cuba, Venezuela, and Latin America took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The event, organized by the Socialist Party of Malaysia, brought together solidary friends and had a clearly anti-imperialist character, defending respect for Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace.

Participants carried signs stating: Cuba is not alone; demanding the End to the Blockade against Cuba; claiming Trump's hands off Latin America; we want President Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia back; and condemning the genocidal actions of U.S. imperialism.

The 32 Cubans who heroically lost their lives in combat, fulfilling their internationalist duty on Venezuelan soil, were remembered.

The executive order issued by the President of the United States, based on lies, was condemned. It attempts to portray Cuba as a threat to the United States as part of the reinforcement of the genocidal blockade policy and to justify the illegal imposition of trade tariffs on those who supply oil to Cuba, in the exercise of its sovereign right to participate in free trade. All of this is intended to punish the Cuban people for their determination not to submit to their domination and violates the rights of sovereign nations.

It was recognized that the true threat to global security, stability, and peace is the actions of the United States government.

The international community was urged to be vigilant; wherever there are natural resources of interest, no sovereign nation will be exempt from imperialist ambitions.

A call was made for the necessary mobilization of the international community and all progressive and pacifist forces to stop this barbarity and save humanity.

Cuban Ambassador Yadira Ledesma thanked the solidary friends for their commitment to just causes and their support for Cuba, Venezuela, and Latin America. She stated that the threat Washington fears is Cuba's example of solidarity, self-determination, and dignity. She reiterated that Cuba stands firm in its decision: "Homeland or Death!" stance, and that the struggle continues! Hasta la Vitoria Siempre!
