Malaysian Attorney General receives Cuban Ambassador

Kuala Lumpur, August 21 - The Malaysian Attorney General, Tommy Thomas, received a courtesy call to the ambassador of Cuba, Ibete Fernández.

During the cordial meeting the parties discussed bilateral relations and explored possibilities to develop also in the judicial and legal sector.

The Cuban ambassador explained to the lawyer about the process of popular consultation that takes place in Cuba with a view to endorsing a new Constitution that will strengthen the foundations of socialism in the country.

The new Malaysian Attorney General was appointed by Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir on June 5 following the general elections that took place.
