The Malaysian Embassy in Timor-Leste hosted an official reception at which the keynote speaker was President Dr. José Ramos Horta; the event was attended by Cuban Ambassador Alina Aldama

Dili, September 17, 2026. Malaysian Ambassador Fairuz Rozali, accompanied by his wife, welcomed the participants to the event organized to mark the 63rd anniversary of his country’s National Day.

In this context, the President of Timor-Leste, Dr. José Ramos-Horta, highlighted the strength of bilateral relations between the two nations and expressed gratitude for the support received regarding his country’s accession to ASEAN.

For his part, the Malaysian ambassador emphasized that they will continue working to strengthen the bonds of cooperation and friendship between the two countries.

Cuba was represented on this occasion by Ambassador Alina Aldama, who was accompanied by official José Heredia.
