Maldivian Foreign Minister Receives Cuban Ambassador

Colombo, October 7, 2025. Maldivian Foreign Minister Abdulla Khaleel received Cuban Ambassador Andrés Marcelo González Garrido, who made a working visit to the country from October 4 to 6.
The ambassador expressed his gratitude for the Maldives' continued support for Cuba's resolution before the United Nations General Assembly against the economic, commercial, and financial embargo imposed by the United States against the Cuban people.
During the meeting, topics of bilateral interest were discussed, and the positive progress of relations between the two countries was highlighted.
