This Tuesday morning, at the Varona Amphitheater of the University of Havana, in the presence of Rector Dr. Miriam Nicado, a master lecture was given by Professor Dewayne Wickham of Morgan State University. Members of the university community, as well as students from the School of Philosophy and History, the School of Communication, and areas that have lines of research associated with the USA - Cuba, among other guests, also participated.
The theme addressed by the professor was “The History of Black Universities in the United States”, a fruitful meeting that clarified to those present part of the history of globalized racism that exists in the various societies that were enslaved, that this racism transcends to the present day.
Dr. José Antonio Baujín Perez, Vice Rector of the UH, thanked Professor Dewayne Wickham for his presence, ratifying the solidary collaboration that unites us with the faculty of Morgan State University.
