New York University professor recognized with degree from the Cuban Academy of Sciences.

The Cuban Academy of Sciences granted the category of corresponding academician to American professor Dr. Richard Dello Buono, a professor at New York University.

The accrediting attributes presentation was made by Doctor in Sciences Luis Velázquez, president of the Cuban Academy of Sciences.

The official ceremony took place at the Varona Building of the University of Havana.

Dr. Velázquez highlighted in his words the solidary and professional collaboration of Dr. Dello Buono with Cuba in the field of social sciences for more than 30 years.

Master lecture given by Professor Dewayne Wickham at the University of Havana

This Tuesday morning, at the Varona Amphitheater of the University of Havana, in the presence of Rector Dr. Miriam Nicado, a master lecture was given by Professor Dewayne Wickham of Morgan State University. Members of the university community, as well as students from the School of Philosophy and History, the School of Communication, and areas that have lines of research associated with the USA - Cuba, among other guests, also participated.

Foreign minister says Cuba maintains zero tolerance for human trafficking

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez says that Cuba maintains its position of zero tolerance towards any manifestation of human trafficking.

On his official Twitter profile, the island's foreign minister reiterated that the policy of the Cuban Revolution rejects any manifestation of this international scourge, which costs the lives of thousands of people every year.

"Cuba exhibits an exemplary performance in the fight against human trafficking and maintains a policy of zero tolerance for trafficking in any form," Bruno Rodríguez tweeted.
