The Mayor of Belfast welcomes Fernando Gonzalez.

Belfast, June 22, 2018. On his arrival in Belfast, Fernando Gonzalez Llort, Hero of the Republic of Cuba and President of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, was received by Deirdre Hargey, Mayor of the city, who welcomed him to the historic city, second in importance of the island.

Fernando had the opportunity to visit the Palace headquarters of the Mayor's Office and learn about the history of the city, its people and this particular building.

Deirdre Hargey informed the Cuban hero about the projects of his administration to help consolidate peace in Northern Ireland and the progress and welfare of his people.
