Medal of Friendship awarded to dear Jamaican friend Trevor Brown.

Kingston, 18 September 2025. In the presence of representatives of organisations that integrate the Solidarity Movement, the Ambassador of Cuba to Jamaica, Fermín Quiñones Sánchez, awarded the Medal of Friendship to Trevor Brown, a dear friend of the Cuban people.

In his remarks, the Cuban diplomat recognised Brown's great contribution to the Jamaica-Cuba Friendship Association: his tireless struggle for the liberation of the Five Heroes, his confrontation of the crude campaigns waged by the United States government against our country, especially the genocidal policy of the blockade, and his unconditional support for just causes.

He also highlighted his sharp pen behind every statement made by the Association in support of Cuba, as well as his work as an educator of the younger generations of Jamaicans.

With brief but emotional words, Trevor expressed his gratitude for the award, which ‘belongs to all the members of the Jamaica-Cuba Friendship Association’. He once again reaffirmed his love for Cuba and his feelings of fidelity towards its people and its Revolution.
