Kuala Lumpur, October 19- Cuba's ambassador to the Philippines, Ibete Fernández, honored Dr Francisco Nemenzo, former president of the University of the Philippines and President of the Cultural and Friendship Association Philippines-Cuba Philcuba, with the medal of friendship and comrade Antonio Paris, Secretary General of the Communist Party of the Philippines PKP 1930, member of the Filipino-Cuban Friendship Association.
For years both Nemenzo and Paris have guided solidarity actions with Cuba in the Philippines, they have contributed to the spread of the reality about our country in addition to the mobilization of thousands of Filipinos to defend the cause of Cuba.
The Medal of Friendship granted by the Council of State in recognition of the merits of friendly Cuban people who have developed a remarkable work in the field of solidarity.
