Following the solidarity demonstration outside the Norwegian Parliament this Thursday afternoon, 11 June, a large group of friends gathered in a nearby room to exchange information on the situation in our homeland, focusing on the intensification of the economic blockade and particularly as a result of the embargo aimed at preventing Cuba from purchasing fuel.
Just as important as the exchange of information was the discussion on the various alternatives to ensure the continuity of the solidarity expressed, including through material aid.
The willingness of our friends to raise funds to purchase and donate solar panels to be installed in Cuban healthcare facilities, thereby ensuring the continuity of essential medical services, was evident.
We take this opportunity to express, on behalf of the Cuban Embassy in Norway and our people, our deep gratitude and appreciation to all the organisations and individuals present at the demonstration and the debate.
A further demonstration that CUBA IS NOT ALONE and that solidarity is unstoppable.
