Meeting between the Cuban Ambassador and the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates

Ambassador Norberto Carlos Escalona Carrillo held a cordial and productive meeting with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, H.E. Noura Al Kaabi, during which they reviewed the latest bilateral developments in economic, political, and cultural relations between Cuba and the UAE, as well as their shared interest in elevating them.

During the meeting, both representatives reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the economic partnership, highlighting recent advances in trade and investment and the potential for joint ventures in areas such as biotechnology, renewable energy, and sustainable tourism. They discussed strategies to facilitate trade and foster innovation, recognizing the growing interest of Emirati companies in exploring investment opportunities offered by Cuba's development zones.

On the political front, the Ambassador and the Minister of State exchanged views on current global and regional issues, emphasizing the importance of dialogue and cooperation to address challenges.

Both sides agreed on the need for continued coordination in multilateral forums and highlighted shared positions on peace and respect for international law.

In the cultural sphere, leaders are exploring new avenues to strengthen exchanges in the areas of art, education, and innovation, building on the foundation provided by the Memorandum of Understanding signed in this area.
