Accra, April 6, 2023.- Dr. Jorge González Pérez, deputy to the National Assembly of Cuba held a meeting with the Honorable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, member of the Parliament of Ghana and head of the Cuba Friendship Group in that honorable institution. The Cuban Ambassador to Ghana, Anette Chao García, also participated in the meeting.
The parliamentarians held a relaxed and profitable meeting where they exchanged on the ways in which the two unicameral bodies are constituted, and the ways of electing their members. They also updated each other on the most important issues of the two countries.
The Ghanaian Member of Parliament expressed his unwavering support to the island of Cuba in its struggle against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America on the largest of the Antilles.
