Luanda. Within the framework of the 147th Assembly of the Inter-parliamentary Union, the delegations of Burundi and Cuba held a fraternal meeting.
Led by the president of the Burundian Senate Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera and the president of the International Relations Commission of the National Assembly of the Republic of Cuba, Mr. Rodolfo González Patricio, both delegations exchanged on the potential for cooperation between both legislative bodies.
The Burundian counterpart proposed Memorandum of Understanding and both delegations agreed to work together during the year 2024, when 50 years of diplomatic relations between both countries will be celebrated.
The meeting ratified the excellent health of political relations between Cuba and Burundi.
