Colombo, May 20, 2024. The Cuban ambassador to Sri Lanka, Andrés Marcelo González Garrido visited the headquarters of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and held a meeting with its president, Duminda Hulangamuwa. The diplomat delivered a letter of invitation from the president of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce Antonio Carricarte Corona to participate in the 40th Havana International Fair (FIHAV) and the call for this important commercial event, one of the most prestigious of its kind in Latin America and the Caribbean, which will take place from November 4 to 9, 2024, in Havana, Cuba.
During the meeting they exchanged about the existing commercial ties between the two countries and the possibilities of expanding them taking into account the excellent relations between Cuba and Sri Lanka.
Present at the meeting were Buwanekabahu Perera, Chief Executive Officer and Secretary General, Dilini Yasendra, Management Executive, both of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and Maribel Duarte González, first secretary of the Cuban embassy.
The ambassador signed the guest book, enabled for distinguished visitors.
