Meeting with the Cuban Community in Antalya Reaffirms Support for Cuba and the 176 Economic and Social Transformation Measures

As part of his working visit to the province of Antalya from June 27 to 28, the Embassy of Cuba in Türkiye's Counsellor for Consular Affairs, Oscar Redondo Ramos, held a productive meeting on Saturday, June 28, with Cuban artists and members of the Cuban community residing in the region.

During the meeting, participants discussed a range of issues of interest to Cuban nationals abroad, with particular emphasis on the modernization of consular services and the strengthening of ties between the Cuban community overseas and their homeland. Information was also provided on the migration measures approved by the Cuban Government in May 2026, which were welcomed by those in attendance as part of ongoing efforts to reinforce relations with Cubans living abroad.

Participants also expressed their support for Cuba in the current circumstances and their rejection of the intensified U.S. blockade against the Cuban people. They further voiced their confidence in the 176 economic and social transformation measures announced in June 2026, aimed at promoting the recovery of the national economy, boosting production, and contributing to the country's development.

The meeting took place in an atmosphere of open and respectful dialogue, allowing participants to exchange views, experiences, and concerns, while reaffirming the commitment of the Embassy of Cuba in Türkiye to maintain close communication with the Cuban community throughout the country and to continue strengthening their ties with the nation.

Counsellor Oscar Redondo Ramos's visit to Antalya is part of the Cuban diplomatic mission's ongoing efforts to engage with Cuban nationals residing in different regions of Türkiye and to further strengthen communication and cooperation with the Cuban community.
